Terms of Use

1. Purpose and Acceptance

These Terms of Use (hereinafter "Terms") govern access to and use of the Alerte Plus platform, published by HTIC-Networks SARL, a company incorporated under Ivorian law, registered under RCCM CI-ABJ-03-2021-B12-01286, IDU CI-2021-0003111 L, with its registered office at Abidjan, Cocody Riviera Abatta, Mondial Beton.

Use of the Services implies full and complete acceptance of these Terms. If you do not accept these conditions, please do not use our Services.

2. Description of Services

The Alerte Plus platform is a citizen security ecosystem comprising:

The Alerte Plus Citizen app

Mobile application enabling citizens to report emergencies in real time, with automatic geolocation, photo/video sending, and intervention tracking.

The Alerte Plus Responder app

Mobile application for agents of partner security companies, enabling alert reception, automatic dispatch, GPS intervention tracking, and Kanban dashboard management.

3. Registration and User Account

Access to the mobile applications requires the creation of a user account. When registering, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information
• Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials
• Immediately notify HTIC-Networks of any unauthorized use of your account
• Not create an account for a third party without their authorization

You are solely responsible for all activity conducted under your account. HTIC-Networks reserves the right to suspend or delete any account in the event of a violation of these Terms.

4. Use of Applications

Citizen App

• The application allows you to trigger an alert in the event of a real emergency situation
• Geolocation must be enabled to allow effective processing of your alert
• Alerts are transmitted to responders and/or law enforcement depending on the nature of the emergency
• You may attach photos, videos, or descriptions to facilitate the intervention

Responder App

• Access is reserved for agents accredited by a partner security company
• The agent agrees to respond to alerts as promptly as possible
• Geolocation must remain active during service hours
• Intervention reports must be completed accurately

5. User Obligations

By using the Services, you agree to:

• Not issue false alerts — any deliberate false alert constitutes an offense that may result in legal prosecution and immediate termination of your account
• Not use the Services for unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purposes
• Not attempt to compromise the security or operation of the platform
• Not impersonate another person
• Comply with the laws and regulations in force in your country
• Not use the Services to harass, threaten, or intimidate other users
• Not reproduce, copy, or distribute any platform content without authorization

6. Intellectual Property

All elements constituting the Alerte Plus platform (software, interfaces, texts, images, logos, trademarks, databases, algorithms) are the exclusive property of HTIC-Networks SARL or its licensors.

Any reproduction, representation, modification, distribution, or exploitation, even partial, of these elements is strictly prohibited without the prior written authorization of HTIC-Networks.

Use of the Services does not confer any intellectual property rights over the Services or their content.

7. Liability and Limitations

• HTIC-Networks undertakes to use all reasonable means to ensure the availability and proper functioning of the Services.
• HTIC-Networks does not guarantee that the Services will be available on an uninterrupted or error-free basis.
• HTIC-Networks shall not be held liable for damages resulting from temporary unavailability of the Services, fraudulent use by third parties, or the transmission of false alerts by users.
• HTIC-Networks is not an emergency service and does not replace law enforcement, fire departments, or emergency medical services. In case of immediate danger, always contact the official emergency numbers in your country.
• Responder response times depend on external factors (distance, traffic, availability) over which HTIC-Networks has no control.

9. Suspension and Termination

HTIC-Networks reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Services, without notice or compensation, in the following cases:

• Violation of these Terms
• Issuance of false alerts
• Fraudulent or abusive use of the Services
• Non-payment of amounts due (for paid services)
• Behavior endangering the safety of other users or the platform

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at [email protected]. Termination results in the deletion of your account and data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10. Applicable Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by:

• Ivorian law, as the law of the registered office of HTIC-Networks SARL.
• The African Union Convention on Cybersecurity and Personal Data Protection (Malabo Convention).
• The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR — EU 2016/679), for provisions relating to data protection.
• Local laws and regulations applicable in each country of deployment.

In the event of a dispute relating to the interpretation or performance of these Terms, the parties shall endeavor to find an amicable solution. Failing this, the dispute shall be submitted to the competent courts of Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire.

HTIC-Networks reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Modifications will take effect upon publication on this page. Continued use of the Services after publication of modifications constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

In the event of a substantial modification, we will notify you by in-app notification or email at least 30 days before the new conditions take effect.
